Cuckoo Maran girl? Please help.

Picked from the pullet bin. I'm guessing she's about 3 weeks old. She's feathering very quickly/nicely with new pinning straight down her back. What's throwing me off is her barring, she's coming in with a lot of white. Her comb looks kinda big, but I'm not familiar with the Maran breed. She has pink legs, so I know she's a Maran.

My photos were taken from my iPod touch and quality isn't the best. What are your guesses? She has the stance of a hen. She's not feeling the best, but getting better. Sneezing and gurgling nose. Vitamins are helping her heal quickly.

She's from the hatchery.

I agree that's a lot of white. Time will tell, though.

I picked the darkest Maran with the smallest spot on the head, so hopefully she's just an off color. I've wanted a Maran since last year. I was thrilled to see them in the store. .

Maybe she's a barred rock cuckoo Maran mix? lol

My Marans are much darker than that, and their barring is not as uniform.

This one is 6 wks, maybe the comparison will help. Are you sure you don't have a little Barred rock roo? But, please bear in mind I have no idea what I am talking about

the barring is way to even to be a cuckoo patteren...i think you might have a barred rock by accident

My little one has pink legs. Barred rocks have yellow legs. Hatchery stock has off coloring or mix breeds.

Here's my "splash" frizzle from last year. She's an oops mixed color.

Maybe a barred rock cuckoo Maran mix? Or perhaps a different breed with the pink legs?

Maybe she'll have a lot of white vs black. It will be interesting in a few weeks to see what this little one will look like.
