Ongoing Quilt Projects, Continued from the "No Appreciation...." Thread

Those colors are beautiful together! I would have never thought to use that shade of green.
I agree that the green would not be a first choice for most quilters. That shade of green is in a minute area of the medallion focus fabric along with a brownish-gold color, as is the very dark blue color. It really works because they're both already in the fabric, of course, though you have to look closely to see the green. I wouldn't immediately have chosen that, either, except for the guidelines of fabric selection for Fabric Cafe's three yard quilts. They make great, easy to follow patterns (I'm all about easy these days) and a low waste use of yardage.
That is a great combination! Very nicely done.
Thank you! I really like the final effect.

Finally, the quilting on the It's a Snap pattern quilt is done. I put my quilting away for awhile because a persistent cough has made it less than fun to free motion.

That turned out absolutely AMAZING!!

I am hoping the cough is better or at least getting better.

Thank you! I'm pleased with it. I will likely make this same pattern in the future, love the 3D effect.
As far as the cough, I went to an ENT finally. I hate going to a doctor, rarely ever needed to in the past. The meds they wanted me to take were all over the counter except for a round of steroids, but all at the same time. No luck with those, but now I think they'll do allergy testing the next time. It's been going on for months now, not at all like me. I really think I've developed an allergy to something in the environment and it's interfering in my life after months of this. Maybe just this cooler autumn weather and stuff dying off toward winter will make a difference.

Having a cough for months would be very draining. Terribly sorry you are still dealing with it.
Maybe an over the counter allergy pill can help.

I really like the 3 yard quilt patterns. I may have to dig through my stash and make a few myself this winter. They wrote the patterns very well which is extra nice.
