Cuckoo Maran is dying :( (Update)

egg, has she ever had a real molt?
I am sorry I dont have any answers for you (not really enuf info but could be any number of things)
If you cant get the proper nutrition into her somehow .....
Do you know how to crop feed? Get yoru vet to show you how and use ensure or the parrot handfeeding forumla. She should be on electrolytes and is probably dehydrated and if so you need to address that first....I suggest starting with ringers solution sq

i agree with dlh -
you can get baby bird (parrot) food at most pet stores. i always keep some on hand - i use "exact" brand. i keep it in my freezer. it's a powder you can mix up with warm water.
i put it into a syringe and then gently squeeze some into the birds beak (NOTE: this is DIFFERENT then crop feeding . . . don't put the syringe down the throat - just put food into the beak not the throat).
usually a bird will swallow on their own at this point. if not gently massage the throat while tipping the head upwards slightly. this encourages a swallow reflex.
i've done this with pigeons and also with the injured chicken i was rehabbing and it helps quite a bit once they get some food back into their system.

i hope your girl gets better. good luck and keep us posted.

maybe if we had more detailed information, we could help you better.

what color are the droppings?
check the crop..describe how it feels (hard lumpy, grainy, soft and squishy, flat)
check mouth and throat for any whitish or yellowy plaque or sores. or any sour smell.

what antibiotic did the vet give you, and what did the vet think it was?
did he do a fecal test for worms or cocci?

is there any swelling in the yes/head/wattles?
any drainage from eyes or beak?
any breath sounds (wheezing/rattling)

any drainage from vent
any heat or swelling in the vent/belly area?
any swelling, bloating, or fullness in the stomach?
any heat?

does the comb look normal or pale?
can she walk normally?
how old is she?
when did she last lay an egg?

has she ever had a real molt?-

Yes, she was molting when we first got her about 6 months ago. I have her on elctrolytes and vitamins, I am giving her water manually with a small syringe. (Avia charge 2000)
She will eat small pieces of bread, I am soaking the bread in wet cat food, I'll try an egg too.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

what color are the droppings?-White with some green
check the crop..describe how it feels (hard lumpy, grainy, soft and squishy, flat)- Crop is fine, one of the first things the vet checked.

check mouth and throat for any whitish or yellowy plaque or sores. or any sour smell. None of those

what antibiotic did the vet give you, and what did the vet think it was? I don't remember the name of the antibiotic, and the vet had no clue, but he does know it isn't parasites or cocci.
did he do a fecal test for worms or cocci?- Yes

is there any swelling in the yes/head/wattles?- No
any drainage from eyes or beak?-No
any breath sounds (wheezing/rattling)- A little wheezing
any drainage from vent- other than the runny poo,, no
any heat or swelling in the vent/belly area?- No
any swelling, bloating, or fullness in the stomach?- No
any heat?-No
does the comb look normal or pale?- little pale
can she walk normally?-Too weak to walk
how old is she?- about a year and a half
when did she last lay an egg?-5 days ago

It is now 7 am and she is drinking on her own. I was very surprised to find her still alive this morning. This all came on very quickly, 4 days ago she was walking eating and just acting a little strange, and had runny poo. It wasn't until after the vet visit that she stopped eating entirely and became too weak to walk. (she went to the vet friday afternoon, saturday morning she was a LOT worse and took her back to the vet saturday morning) Thank you everyone for your advice and assistance with this. I'm beginning to think that maybe she might make it, after having survived through the night.

do you have durvet (electrolytes/vit) she should be getting electrlytes in her water (you can put the avia charge in her feed)...
What is her normal feed? And do you have a mash or crumble type of it or pellets?
I agree with spotted that parrot handfeeding formula (for baby or sick birds) would be best instead of cat feed... cat feed combined with the bread is way too much salt.
Put the AviaCharge in a tablespoon of yogurt and try to get her to eat that ...

I came in from cleaning the barn, and caught her eating. Her eyes are open and she seems more alert, but still laying down. I will try the yogurt/avia charge thing, thanks! And I'll see if we can get the parrot handfeeding formula.

Oh and she normally eats a layer crumble, mixed with black sunflower seeds with water to make it a mash. (none of the chickens will eat it if I don't put water in it)

please try to find out what antibiotic the vet gave her. (it was an injection?)

the green and white COULD be from lack of eating and be undiluted bile passing thru.

keep a close watch on the wheezing, or for any other respiratory symptoms, or swelling.

(wheezing (or panting/labored breathing) is sometimes a sign of fluid retention, pressure from an egg disorder, discomfort and stress.)
can also be a sign of aspiration.

hopefully, if she eats some feed and what the others suggested, the droppings will be become normal., and the nutrition, calcium/minerals will get back her up and walking.

there is a concern that she has not layed an egg in 5 days, and is holding internally..
did the vet check for an egg?

has she been wormed?

hope she does better.
