Cuckoo Maran or Barred Rock Roo?

Here is my broody hen's baby daddy. And I have no experience telling the difference between barred rocks and cuckoo marans. I read it's leg color- white is cuckoo, yellow is BR. What's your take?

Hoping for some fun crosses with buff orps, EE, BR, RIR, White Leghorn, with obvious roos, but I wonder if they will all just be barred.

Uh....I'm pretty sure that the barring sex link thing works either way, but I"m not a genetics expert.

No. All the chicks from him will be barred, because male CM have two copies of the barring gene. Sex links result from red roosters over female barred breeds, so that wouldn't apply here.
