Cuckoo Maran Roo or Pullet?

Approximately 4 week old Cuckoo Maran.... I know it is so early but I'm worried she is a he...

Anyone have a guess?

Most likely a cockerel. Wait a few more weeks though, gender is hard to determine at only 4 weeks.

Damn. I really wanted to keep her. I can have roosters here but neighbors are close by and might not appreciate it

Don't give up yet. This bird may very well be female. The comb, while a bit big, is yellow and I do not see any wattles. It is a bit early. Report when s(he) is 6 weeks old. Better lighting please next time. It makes a big difference.

I will try to get better light in a few weeks! I need to replace 2 light bulbs in the room they're in today! ( meant to do it but worked on their coop instead.

A few weeks later and I'm guessing She is a HE? My mom really doesn't want a rooster.... but one rooster to guard as long as he stays sweet.... sigh. Just my luck? Or a chance we could still be a pullet?

I think cockerel based off the comb and light barring. Here's one of my cuckoo marqn phllets at 8 weeks. You can see her comb is much smaller and she's darker. The 2 dark ones in the last pic are both cuckoo maran pullets.

I don't think this is a cockerel, unless he's a late bloomer. His face isn't red at all, his cuckoo pattern isn't overly light or dark...
