Has anyone ever seen black and white verticle stripes on a Cuckoo Marans birds beak before? I just noticed them coming in the other day, I took lots of photos. Also is this going to be a roo? She/He is about 7 weeks now.

Can the barred rock have slate legs? I'm so on the fence about all the dark breeds again. I don't know why I want to know so bad, I'm kicking myself for not paying attention when I picked out the birds. What about these other 2?It's a Barred Rock rather than Cuckoo Marans. It has yellow pigment
I sure hope she's a pullet because one roo is one too many already. One of my other black birds turned out to be a pretty obvious Roo. Not sure what I'll do with him since I can't have Roos in my city.Barred rock, pullet. Stripes on beak not a problem.![]()
It's legs are yellow, it just has a dark wash that Barred Rock pullets often get. Where were the blue birds purchased?Can the barred rock have slate legs?
