Cuckoo Marans eggs ' how dark?

I have 5 cuckoo marans hens bought at a hatchery here are 4 eggs from the marans. how does the color seem to you? I have been disappointed because the color is not much darker than my Golden comets..
I know since they came from the hatchery I was lucky to get these as dark as they are but I wondered how they measure up against other maran eggs for dark color?

You got a better color than I did. I'm pretty sure the end egg here is the first egg from my cuckoo marans (I also have an australorp that isn't laying yet, so in all fairness, I'm not 100% sure who layed this egg). If this is indeed from my marans, I'm more than a little dissapointed in the color.

they look a little darker than my cuckoo maran's eggs - so pretty good I'd say cuckoo's aren't the darkest layers of the maran world so they look about right to me
