Ha! Right! I generally avoid buying expensive fresh food specifically for the flock...but they make short work of strawberry tops, the odd soft blueberry, watermelon rinds, etc.

I don't know if I could ever have extra berries. But yes my chickens do you love when I make strawberry jam. Gigantic bowl full of strawberry tops

My run composts great, but I'd rather use it in my garden, my chickens esspesily like peas, pecans, and raisins.
