I know I didn't expect them to be but they are. I have a barred rock that will eat from my hand but as soon as I try to touch her she runs lol

She's an Easter Egger. So far I find them to be either super friendly, or super fearful.

We have a 14 week old sapphire gem named Jewel. She is so pretty and she really seems to snuggle up to my daughter! She doesn't come over to us on her own but is very calm when we catch her and hold her. Nome of our other chickens act like this! Please share pics and stories of your snuggliest chicken.

Raven! My Black Star pullet she loves to sleep on our lap and constantly follows us around and she is the softest of all my chickens ever! She loves hiding in the woods though, still she is the sweetest chicken ever!
