Cull him, or wait for protection?

An i didn't mean literally the most humane way to cull him, just a good

The cone method is the method I would use, and I would suggest it for your use as well. You buy (or make) a cone that can be secured to a tree, or post, basically wherever you plan on culling. Lower the rooster's head into the cone while holding him upside down. Let him sit in the cone for a second while you hold his feet just to stop him from freaking out, then cut the head off. Gravity will draw out the blood (you may have to let it drained for a bit) and then you can process him

Where are you located @S_Drummond? I have a few 4 month old cockerels with nice temperaments if you're close that you could pick from. 1 Cochin X SLW, 1 Cochin X Welsummer (maybe), and 1 Cochin (they're brothers). I'm primarily raising them for meat, so if the one you pick ends up turning into an a-hole (I don't foresee it happening since they've already developed their secondary masculine characteristics) I can take him back.
