I have a meat chick with a slipped tendon, it's to swollen for me to feel comfortable messing with. I don't have the nerve to cull him myself, but I can get it done if needed. The only help I can get him is an expensive animal hospital; should I pay the money to/maybe help him, or just find someone to kill him for me?

He's eating and drinking, and all around fine other than his leg. It's just to far gone for me to fix myself. It's not splayed leg either, I was able to fix that in another chick, just not this one.

I don't have pictures, but his leg looks similar to other posts I've seen and his symptoms are the same. I need to make this decision ASAP.

The life span of meat birds is terminally low. Most attempt to provide quality of life prior to culling for food. You could cull now and have a squab sized snack. Or you could keep caged and fed like the French do in conditioning sheds to put weight on prior to culling for food. That's your choice. My take on it would be to cull now and end it's discomfort.
