Cull Silkies

Oh Julie I want the Splash Roo! Are you in the southern part of AL? I cant drive that far but I would be wiling to pay for shipping if that is something you do.

Thanks, Adam

I can ship the Splash which would be less than gas driving down here. I live on the Fl. line in Dothan. 75 miles north of Panama City.

Okay, that is great. If you want to drive though and look at some great birds and maybe pick out some young chicks that would be great too.

What about 10 for the cockeral and it wil probably cost around 45 dollars to ship him but if it is less I will refund your money. If it is more which I don't think it will be you can send me some more. Let me know and I will give you my paypal addy and I will ship him out Monday. If you want more close up pics or pics of his feet or anything I will be glad to get them for you. It might be tomorrow though if it gets dark here before I hear from you.

Geesh, shipping costs are just outrageous! If it was more affordable it would sure make things a lot easier. Sorry to butt in. I also think the splash roo is very nice.

Julie I am still thinking. My only concern is Cornelius my modern game banty roo. He is a special guy and we are very close I would hate to upset him by brining home, well competition. If someone else wants him by all means go ahead and sell him. I just need a little time. Do you think they would get along fine. Cornelius was raised with four of his brothers as well as a few other roos that no longer live with us so the has been around other boys and he was fine. Oh and the price is fine.

Adam if you have them in the pen with hens there will definitely be competition at some point. I haven't had this boy in with girls yet and he is not alpha in the pen. My Blue Boy tolerates younger Roos until they get old enough to get friendly with the girls then he lets them know who's boss so I have to move them at that point because fertility goes down when they knock each other off the hens.

We free range during the day. The only time they are locked up is a night. The roosters sleep will sleep in separate houses in the Garage (to prevent early AM crowing). I live in a small neighborhood and my neighbors are close. So I do not want to irritate them so that I may keep my roo's. What do you think?
