Culled eggs today and got a surprise

No yolk is quite odd.

Sat on eggs is bad.

My first shipped turkey eggs all didn't go at all.

My second set of shipped turkey eggs all are, except a couple, about to hatch.

My first chicken eggs that were shipped developed but my bator freaked out and killed them.

My second set of shipped eggs went about 70%. Either they went or they didn't. No middle quitters.

My third set of shipped eggs all but three developed despite horrid handling resulting in bad air cells.

My fourth set, all but two hatched, one clear - one post hatch quitter.
LOL Etc. since the addiction doesn't appear to be stopping and there have been and will be more.

In the majority if you luck out on a seller, shipped eggs can go well. Many of the ebay/eggbid/ovabid sellers are BYCers. And those are the ones I now stick to most often.

Better luck next time. I would at least give the seller the opportunity to make it right.

What I was told by my neighbors son who works for the post office about shipped eggs.
Regardless if the seller puts hatching eggs on the box or not the chances of the box being xrayed is very high. One would have to have proper certification such as a medical lab or a licensed hatchery, with proper documents to prove what is actually in the box for the box not to be x rayed. I was told that it is a waist of ink and time to put on the box hatching eggs do not x ray or food or what ever is in the box. It is because of what has become of our country, better safe then sorry

Yet other postal employees and those who have called rather high up and asked were told that boxes are rarely xrayed anymore. That it is unlikely to happen at all. Seems noone really knows what goes on with that box while it's between the seller and buyer.

If you don't see a yolk odds are the eggs were very badly scrambled in shipping. I would question the packaging to have an entire batch that scrambled but it could be that box just ran into some bad luck and bad handling.
