I have discovered that after culling birds all summer I have wound up with more goldens then browns,If I keep letting the golden roosters breeding with the brown hens what would be the ratio of hatching goldens to hatching browns?Or vice versa? I have had buyers refuse the goldens because they think they are actually not quail and I certianly don't want to argue with a potential return customer

If you let a golden rooster breed with a brown hen(F1), hatched those out, then raised the chicks and bred them together(F2), you should get 50% of that generation being browns (F3). The other 50% would be Italian or some mutation like that, with a few solid goldens...this is of course on paper
