Hmm. Okay. I’ve never hatched from these guys before (the pullet isn’t old enough to lay and the cockerel hasn’t even perfected his crow yet), but the breeder I got these guys from maintained the yellow bottoms of feet. She is a breeder and knows what she is doing. The only thing wrong with the feet is that Tonya has basically black shanks, with a little yellow, but the bottoms of feet are yellow with some black. Jasper has yellow and black shanks and almost completely yellow bottoms of feet. They have feathered legs, so it’s hard to tell. The standard wants all yellow, with the female able to have swarthy yellow legs as well. My main concern was that both of their beaks are black. The standard calls for yellow beaks, not black as I have, though the hen can have yellow shaded with black in the beak. Sorry if I didn’t make that clear in my first postSorry. To elaborate on that and my takeaway as it applies to you, I wonder if what the primary responder (the breeder that sounded like she knew what she was talking about, I forget the name,) called green or willow legs is what you're seeing on your male, and if that's the case I wonder if you'll be able to produce any yellow-legged chicks from this pair.
Have you hatched from this pair before? Did you produce any clear yellow shanks? If they're both showing incorrect leg color and if they're both from the same source (IE; likely related which ingrains the trait) it may be very difficult to get what you want from this pairing at all so the age of culling could be irrelevant.

Desired (pullet)

Not desired (Tonya)
Wish I could get pics of the feet, but I am not able to till after Thanksgiving. I can try to get some one day, or even see if I have any others. Looking back on the posts, I make absolutely no sense, so it seems only pics would be comprehensible
