Culling drakes question

Process wherever is easiest for you to get the job done. It doesn't matter if it's within hearing/sight of the others, they'll get over it in a few days max. Just make sure the job is done in one motion so the one doesn't suffer.

And Cull is a good word to use. It basically means to permanently remove from the flock. Through segregation, selling or killing.
 
Ok, just kill the one you want with no other ducks around and you should be fine, birds will just think he died from a predator or something.

Thank you! I had planned on using a hatchet for a quick dispatch, but my husband feels squeemish about having the duck butchered at home and would rather I take it to a butcher in town for processing. I appreciate your reply!
