Well they have been so noisy the males at night so I needed to get them in the freezer quick. But one today laid a egg lol

I have 2 Italian. Some pharaoh. And 2 unknowns.

Which would you say is female. .. I think you might call it a roux. Ones very dark one lighter ..
I will add pics tomorrow

Thankyou

Once you post photos we will be happy to help you - unfortunately, until then there is no way any of us can tell you which bird(s) in the group are female or male.

Sorry they are called "british range .. According to the quail mutant colours post ;-)

It's 1.26am here in the uk so I better not go out upsetting them it's lights off lol

You can sit next to the cage and watch them. If one crows it's a rooster, take it out before you loose sight of it. If one mounts another one it's a rooster (the one doing the mounting). Young roos will mount other birds regardless of the sex of the other bird.

Vent sexing is very easy. Here are a couple of videos on how to do it.

After you've done it a couple of times and you have mature birds the difference is obvious.

In any bird, if a bird is laying the pelvic bone is more seperated, I sex my Texas A & M simply after laying I know for sure which ones are laying=female if I put my finger under them pointing towards the chest and if the bones are wide enough to easily put my finger in with space to spare, then I figure that bird is laying. I do this for chickens too, I just compare the ones I KNOW are male and check them then compare. Now this will not tell you for SURE if a bird is NOT a male, but it should tell you for sure if that birds is laying and you know for sure its female. So in your case, to find the one that is laying, just check the width between the pelvic bones where teh egg is squeezed through.
