Hello everyone,
This is Debbie, I have a small farm on the Cumberland River in Kyushu. I have been gathering a small flock of chickens for the past year or so. I recently acquired a couple of cabinet incubators and feel like I'm really in the chicken business. I am hatching Wyandottes in Silver Laced, Golden Laced, and Blue Laced Red, Orpingtons- Buff and hopefully Jubilee soon, Silkies, Sultans, Show Girls and Anconas.
I have had a hard time finding anyone else raising the Ancona and they are wonderful birds; don't brood, lay LARGE white eggs, docile with other birds and don't wander. They are a little flighty and easily startled, quick as mice too, but I like their productivity and hardiness.
Looking forward to hearing from everyone.
Debbie

and Welcome To BYC! Sounds like you are really getting serious about hatching out some eggs, good luck with them! That is a wonderful assortment of breeds you have. Ancona are a really nice breed, there is a short thread on them in the breeds section
