Hello everyone,

This is Debbie, I have a small farm on the Cumberland River in Kyushu. I have been gathering a small flock of chickens for the past year or so. I recently acquired a couple of cabinet incubators and feel like I'm really in the chicken business. I am hatching Wyandottes in Silver Laced, Golden Laced, and Blue Laced Red, Orpingtons- Buff and hopefully Jubilee soon, Silkies, Sultans, Show Girls and Anconas.

I have had a hard time finding anyone else raising the Ancona and they are wonderful birds; don't brood, lay LARGE white eggs, docile with other birds and don't wander. They are a little flighty and easily startled, quick as mice too, but I like their productivity and hardiness.

Looking forward to hearing from everyone.
Hi and welcome to BYC from northern Michigan

I thought it was strange that Japan had a Cumberland River

Welcome to BYC!

Sounds like you are going to have a very colorful flock! Good luck with your hatch too. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Welcome to our flock!
