Good morning all
Just a curious Question as my chickens look healthy so Im not to worried just curious
I have 3 chickens all about 5 months old so about 4 weeks away from laying. 1 pure Sussex and 2 Sussex / Rhode island red cross's, Its summer hear but a wet one and I've notest, well what I think is that there not really eating a lot. There are full of energy and out all day up and down the various structures and foraging in the grass in there avery. Its about 3m x 6m so about 18m2 for 3 of them. They get a cup of mixed seed scattered to keep them busy which they seam to eat by the evening and a good helping of layer pellets in there feeder.probabuly about 2/3 cups worth. they used to eat that in a day or day and half at most a few weeks a go but now its taking 3 days plus. also I think there drinking less but i do see them drinking.
dose this sound as if there eating enough for there age
Many thanks Murph
