What do y’all think of these? Thought she was eggbound; gave warm Epsom salt bath, cloaca line then TUMS. The girl had body jerking contractions then these cam out. Would love to know if any of y’all have seen anything like this. The larger one came out with albumin, the small one is hard as a rock.
Did I make a mistake by giving TUMS?

You went through the right procedures, although liquid Calcium is usually better, and you don't need the Epsom salts unless there is inflammation (like an torn muscle or bumblefoot).

She passed the egg that was blocked inside, that's important. The small 'nugget' one may be an accumulation of calcium, I'm not sure. Keep an eye on her for any more signs of being eggbound. I'd also give her the calcium for a few days until she is regularly laying regular eggs.

How old is she? What breed? Has she laid before?

Can you cut/break the small one open? It is the size of a fairy egg, but looking at it I would be almost concerned it is a lash egg caused by a reproductive infection. It could also just be a ball of shell, but I would definitely try to get it open so you know what you are dealing with. I also agree I would go pick up some liquid calcium gluconate from tractor supply and dose her for a few days at 1ml daily.

We had one or two tiny eggs. But we haven't seen any since. I suspected they were somebody's first eggs. Being fairly new to duck life I was really worried. Thank goodness the girls seem to know their business. 😂🤣🦆🦆🥚🥚

She’s one year and 3 months. Ancona. Yes she’s laid before. I wonder if I harmed her because I’m not entirely sure she was eggbound BUT her butt was bouncing a little and she was waking slow. I didn’t check for an egg before I treated her. 🤦🏻‍♀️
Her body was almost violently contracting down. I’m concerned I caused her to contract so hard she popped the soft shell egg snide of her. But she had not laid for about 3 days prior to all this and has not laid today.

The problem is her “sisters” won’t let her lay in the community nest and I wonder if she doesn’t know where to lay so she holds it in. Will this cause egg binding? Do you know?

I just don’t want to jump the gun with treating for it and end up hurting her.

I’ve been doing ducks for three years and have learned a lot but I’m new to this egg binding thing.
