Ok, I've been reading a lot of the threads regarding hatchery vs. feed store vs. breeder chicks and have become curious as to what exactly we have. I do not intend to put these birds in shows or anything....they are egg-laying pets....but I would like to know if we have what we were sold, if that makes any sense.
Both of the (hopefully) ladies in question are approximately five weeks old.
This is supposed to be our Buff Orpington hen.

So....do I have hens, and do I actually have a Buff Orpington and a Light Brahma? Hearing "no" will not make me love them any less....but we would have to get rid of any roos we have.
