Someone was posting on craiglist some chicks and told me the Rooster is a RIR and the hen is a White Leghorn. He told me the chicks are Red Sex links, when I looked it up it shows nothing with RIR and Leghorn crosses becoming Red sex links so I am asking if this is true on here because I'm sure someone on here has had some little chicks like this before. Thanks for the help!

If the white leghorn hen carries a silver gene the chicks will be sex-linked.

You need a roo with a red gene(RIR, New Hampshire etc) and a hen with a silver gene(barred, cockoo or silver birds do well, some white birds carry a silver gene too).
