Hello fellow chicken lovers!
ive has this rooster for probably almost a year now. When we got him we didn’t notice his toe immediately but we noticed it a day or two after we got him. We figured he had broken his toe at done point and his previous owner that had him just never fixed it. Anyways it seems that since we’ve had him it’s curled back even more. Is there anything I can or should do about this? Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

There is nothing that can be done at this age for his crooked toe. If done within the first days of life, before the bones are fully formed, crooked toes can be treated with a tape shoe holding the toes in place. This is a very common defect, and it does get a little worse with age, but it really is nothing to worry about. I have had a few with crooked toes who have lived long lives.

We had a welsummer many years ago and she had a bent toe and it curled round more than this rooster's. She was fine and it didn't both her at all :)
