Has anyone had experience with curled toe? I’m going to make the little chick a little boot. Does it ever get better on its own?

How old is the chick? Are the toes curled under or just crooked? If they are curled under, B complex vitamins containing riboflavin may help. If the toes is just curved to the side, a shoe may be helpful if she is just a few days old. Once the chick gets older it cannbe hard to help a crooked toe. This link from MyPetChicken shows how to make a tape shoe:

I used a very large bandaid. I made sure that her toes were as flat as possible as I wrapped the bandaid. I left it on for 3 days. Her toes were still a little curled after I took the bandaid off. Each day she started using it more and now you can’t tell that she ever had an issue.

@Eggcessive how do you administer the vitamins? I've got a 2 day old tiny Serama chick with curled toes on both feet. I'm going to do the tape trick, but how do I administer vitamins? In the water? How much do you suggest? I just have 2 teeny tiny 2 days old serama chicks and only the one of them needs assistance. They have a tiny jar on a quail waterer base.

If you use human B complex or super B complex, cut one tablet in half or in four, and crush it on food, or put it in a little water can give it orally. You can also use a chick vitamin (make sure that it has riboflavin) or PolyVisol without Iron.

In the water is easiest. You can use a dropper in the evening to give it to her specifically. The tape really helped with my chick. Good luck with your little one.
