Curled Toes. Ideas?

Pepper, put Welsummer has curled toes. Anyway to fix? Was there ever anyway to fix? Does it hurt her or will it cause future problems? Thanks in advance.

If she hatched like that it's too old to fix, IMO. She will be fine.

If you get hatchery chicks there will probably be a few like that. They will do okay. If you get more hatchery chicks, check them out right away--sometimes they can be taped and fixed during the first week of life. Don't ever breed a chicken with curled toes because it can be hereditary. Sometimes curling of toes is from a riboflavin deficiency (Vitamin B2) but those are usually curled under.
