I’ve researched and researched, but I’m not sure my chick has the curled toes thing. It’s more like it’s just floppy. Are the chicks that have the curled toes floppy? Or more constricted? I have a 5 day old chick and I’ve been doing the boot on it’s foot, but it’s almost like it’s broke or limp. It has bones in it, and they are warm to touch and a good color. Any ideas? When the boot isn’t on, they do turn to the side, but it’s like they are lifeless.

It’s leg is like that because I had the hock bandaged up to keep from it rubbing raw. It’s not a good pic but it just went through a traumatizing episode of me trying to get that bandage off and it has a boot on its foot right now. It looks like possibly curled toes, but looks like it’s foot is just flopping.

Looks like it may have splayed legs, & needs hobbles. Toes look perfectly normal.

They do LOOK normal lol but when I touch the other foot, it can flex and grasp and this one is just limp. I will try the hobbled again but we can’t get it to stay on. Will it work if it walks on one hock?

Here is one. Again, not a good pic of it, but this is kinda what it looks like when it walks.

Here is a pic of one of my game birds cute little female....started developing curled toes. I made her some"shoes" out of medical tape ...kept her like that for maybe three weeks. I kept switching over the tape for fresh tape when they got soiled...eventually worked out.
Patience.

Never mind, it just passed away. 😢😢 It was sleeping and then all of a sudden started flopping sideways and backward. I flipped it back over and it did it again. This time when I turned it back over, it went limp and quit breathing. 😢😢
