I have an 8 week old that I just moved outside. I noticed she was just standing in one spot and didn't have the same reaction to a new outdoor run that the others had. Upon carful observation I noticed her toes looked like they were broken. She eats and drinks. After doing the research I feel that she has curled toes. Many cures are for newly hatched chicks. What can I do for my 8 week old?

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join us here! I'm afraid at 8 weeks there is not much that can be done to straighten them out. The feet have developed at this stage and there is not as much flexibility within them to fix them. Here is a good link to check out ~ https://sites.google.com/a/poultrypedia.com/poultrypedia/poultry-podiatry

Wishing you the very best of luck with your chick :fl

Curled toe update. Sometimes we have to let nature takes is course. She is up and running with the best of them like there was never any problem. All is well in the Chicken Palace.

Can you post a picture of the toes? I am curious. Welcome to BYC.
