Hey everyone! So I think I have a chick with CTP but it’s the first time I’ve seen it (at first I thought it was broken). How it’s foot hangs in the pic is also how it is when it’s trying to walk. This chick is 2 days old and I’d really love to fix this asap if possible. Any suggestions?

Curly toe is usually in both feet in riboflavin (vitamin B 2) deficiency. I would start a small amount of extra riboflavin in some chick vitamins or 1/4 tablet of human B complex crushed and dissolved in a spoonful of water given a couple of drops at a time. Can you post a picture of the legs from the front to see if she might have a slipped tendon or bone problem?

I cannot today but will tomorrow. They’re already locked up tonight (with mama hen). I will definitely supplement!

I got this tip from a friend that has 700 poutry, felt furniture pads. Just put them on a chick today, she says the glue wears off about the time they don’t need them anymore
