Current Movies - Thumbs UP or Thumbs DOWN

Well I hope to see The Avengers Age of Ultron, this weekend - its the only movie my brother wants to see, so at least I have a ride there. Really want to see Ex Mechina also but, he doesn't so

I'm tempted to watch "The Interview," streaming BUT, just from the trailer it was so gross -it wasn't even funny. " I've been very disappointed with Franco's movie choices.

Well, you could at least try it, at first I was like I dunnooo but once you see where they go with it, it's not so bad, but still full of swearing. Why not if you don't have to pay.....

Weird as it sounds, I would watch it again some time unlike many other movies similar to it. But hey, I already admitted to liking Kingpin as gross as that was.

It's not a movie, but if you're looking for TV show rec: Daredevil on Netflix. So. Good. You kinda have to be open to the comic book thing. But even my friends who don't really like comic books are diggin' it. I'm through Ep 11. I promised myself I wouldn't watch any more this week though. I have a ton of chores this weekend. :P

Oh man, I can't wait for Age of Ultron! My boyfriend is a video game programmer, and they're taking his studio to see it tomorrow morning as an off-site. Guess he's just going to have to see it twice! :P Talk your brother into Ex Machine. It's UHmazing. I haven't been that amazed by a SciFi.... honestly, maybe since Sunshine. Which makes sense! (I gotta be forgetting something good though.)

The Interview was all right. It's on Netflix, so no harm it checking it out. I chuckled a few times. I doubt we would have heard much about it though if not for all the political drama. Kinda forgettable overall as a movie I thought.

Oh well "I came, I saw, I was badly disappointed." To cut to the chase, I didn't like Avengers: Age of Ultron.. Too long, too much downtime under the auspice of giving a little more background on some characters. WAY too many characters to even recognize fully, one CGI battle after another - and all looking the same ( kinda like the Hobbit trio)
Maybe I was having an off day but, it seemed like the main characters were calling in their roles. A funny line here or there and Tony Star's attitude getting so very old. He was so much better in "Sherlock Holmes."

For a change there were scads of young children milling around before the doors opened. Parents obvious to their mischief, didn't call them back when they were racing through & bumping the serious movie goers waiting in line. I stood by the tallest person I could find, hoping he would deflect their exuberance. Funny once they were seated in the theatre none of them seemed excited about the movie.

Not really a spoiler but, a tiny bit revealed for a future movie BEFORE the credits rolled. Being fully schooled in Marvel tactics we and a few other diehards endured the usual
endless credits list ONLY to find there was NO regular sneak peek at the end. Just an AMC taunt. The clean up crew apologized for not telling us about that. They said they didn't want "to spoil" the movie. What? Let us sit there like idiots for no payoff.

Actually at this point in time I don't have any stars to give this movie. Maybe in a few days I will feel differently. IF someone else has seen this movie and enjoyed it PLEASE do post. Maybe I was too grumpy to notice the good. Don't let my opinion stop you from seeing it. Different strokes for different folks.

Guess I might as well give a belated review of "The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel." I didn't review in a timely fashion because I did not like the movie and didn't want to 'sour ' anyone on it. Under the guise of having a wedding, the wonderful cast of the First Marigold hotel came together again. Their short roles were the only shining light in an otherwise boring movie. It was worth the $$$ just to see them trying to salvage a bad script. Richard Gere's arrival did nothing to enhance the plot.

My wife and I went to see Avengers Age of Ultron last night. We didn't think it was as good a movie from top to bottom as the first Avengers' movie, but we did find the movie to be entertaining.
