Current Movies - Thumbs UP or Thumbs DOWN

Has anyone seen The Martian yet? On Tuesdays, movie tickets are $5.00 all day in Kalispell, so we'll probably go see it on Tuesday evening.

My brother gave it 4.5 out of 4 (and he was a math major) I would give it the same. One thing people have to realize before seeing it is - it's not Interstellar - It's Matt Damon stuck alone on Mars and "sciencing the hell out of it." It's his story of survival amid crushing set backs. Not a lot of breathtaking photography or black holes or stuff like it. Kinda like Tom Hanks in Castaway but, with death menacing at every turn. I did shed a few tears but, it was probably from an allergy ( NOT)

Sounds good. We loved Castaway. :o)

Looks like the Monday Dollar Matinee ladies have decreed we'll be seeing Man from U.N.C.L.E.

(Not my choice... I voted for Shaun the Sheep)

I miss the dollar movies! There used to be a dollar theater in the area where I grew up. We went all the time. It eventually closed. As far as I know, there aren't any around here anymore. Those days were awesome!

I don't think there are any dollar matinees at any of the local theaters here, either. I suppose I'll have to start googling. DH and I used to go see movies all the time, but now it's crazy $.

Yeah! I'm going to see The Force Awakens at midnight the day it comes out (I'm that excited!).

Now see! I used to get excited about stuff like that. I think I've gotten boring.

The last time I got excited about a movie and actually did go see on opening day, was the Pirates of the Caribbean movies and the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. I also got in a tizzy over the last 2 Bond movies but never went. And the same with American Sniper. I wanted to read the book first, so I did. DH wanted to see it really bad too, but when he wanted to make plans to go he chose our 15th anniversary and I wasn't really feeling that as anniversary date. Then we just lost track. I get super extra excited about stuff, but he's my polar opposite in that regards. LOL
