Hmm yeah, they did the same with the final Harry Potter film(s), "The Deathly Hallows: part one". It's a pretty cheap way of getting more money, but clearly it works.I thought the first one was the best. Got REALLY bored and annoyed when they divvied up the ending to stretch out theater revenue dollars, especially since the first part of the ending was all politics. DH informs me that Divergent series is doing the same.
As far as endless sequels, the Twilight series IMHO was done better as far as episode evenness.
Yes, there is violence. But I would classify Hunger Games as suspenseful and not gratuitously violent. (In other words, they are not splatterfests.)
I can handle some violence, if it is integral to telling the story. For instance, the James Bond films. But excessive gore and violence really freaks me out.
Perhaps I'll read the books first. Hmm.
I actually have seen those. I think they're really good. The second was probably my favorite.
There is violence, but it's not just constant hacking and fighting.
I saw a clip of a girl getting hit with a spear. Does it get any worse than that? The fact she was just a kid was really distressing.
(Dat's meh F)
