that he was primarily a stage actor prior to 'Breaking Bad'. Truth?
I don't know about his stage work, but before "Breaking Bad" he played the Dad in "Malcolm in the Middle". He was fabulous in the role. It had some old-fashioned, slapsticky-y comedy and he just delivered as if it was nothing. I think that a lot of actors would be self-conscious in some of the things he had to do. I hadn't known of him before Malcolm but I remember admiring him in that. I don't usually laugh at the TV but some of his "turns" were hilarious. I also noticed him in something the other day. An old movie/tv show, and I recognised him now because I know him from his more recent work. The thing with character actors is that you usually just accept them as their character and don't recognise "the actor".

Today we saw 'The Infiltrator'. 3 stars on the movie - 4 stars on Bryan Cranston's performance. Where has he been all these years? Princess says she saw him on Broadway and that he was primarily a stage actor prior to 'Breaking Bad'. Truth?

He made a flick or two after BB. Rent "Trumbo" It's out on streaming video now. He's superb in it.

The Shallows was really great. For a 1 hour and 45 min movie of a girl avoiding a shark, it never seemed boring or lacking in spots. The camera shots were amazing, and there was a nice storyline too.
Anyone else seen it?

I just saw 'The heat'. Totally not the kind of film I usually watch, but honestly I thought it was hilarious.

Have any of you guys seem the hunger game films? I was never allowed to watch them, and then avoided them because they seemed violent. What do you think?
I've seen all of them. The first one may seem a little brutal, but the other three aren't about violence they are about--well, I don't want to spoil it

The plot is amazing, and honestly, people say that it's "gross," "violent," and "warped." It isn't.

Okay, cool. Gotta at least give it a chance I guess :)

Yes, I saw the Shallows and it was very good. Convinced me I never want to go near water - which is wise since I can't swim - think it's genetic in my family, also no "sports " genes.
