Current Movies - Thumbs UP or Thumbs DOWN

I just realized why I love "Green Book," so much. I would have loved to be friends with the two of them. Such good people inside and out. Yes, I know it's a movie. But that's the best I've got.

Today we saw "Welcome to Marwen". The survival/recovery story of Mark Hogancamp the survivor of a bias attack that nearly killed him and left him brain damaged. Princess did not like it but gave a 2.5 because of the quality of Steve Carrel's performance. I really liked it and give a 3.5. Princess says you have to be weird to really like this film and that I qualify. I tend to agree with her. If you are too normal you may not like "Marwen".

I want to see "Marwen". No one has ever accused me of being "too normal," My son and brother aren't sterling examples of normalcy either. They aren't thrilled but I want to see that movie. Maybe they will at least drop me off and pick me up at the show. They already used up my $ 10 concession coupons - so don't they "owe" it to me?

By the way my son got updated features on his Tesla and so did my brother. It now can fart in different volumes, styles, slow, fast, lingering etc. Plus there is a "fireplace graphic" if you want to cozy up in the back seat. Wow, this must make it well worth the very inflated price.

Oh we did see "Aquaman," today. What can I say? It is a DC production NOT Marvel. For most of the movie my brother was asleep on one side of me and my son on the other. It did plod along for a while but Jason Mamoa is very watchable. The scenery, filmed in Australia was gorgeous.

Since Jason is Hawaiian - he is a native american. Just another group that had their land taken. A lot of homeless because they can't afford the extremely inflated prices that paradise has inspired.
