Current Movies - Thumbs UP or Thumbs DOWN

I've seen advertisements for the new jungle book and I'm not quite sure why, but I haven't been tempted. I'll have a look now.
'Cam', I've not heard of this before. I'll have a look at this as well.

Yeah me neither. Did not like the cartoon disney version that much.

It is a worse version then 2016 jungle book by the way. Still watchable.

Well I DID see "Greenbook" again, and loved it as much as the first time. My son came with and I could tell how intensely he was paying attention by frequent looks at his face.

He DID really like it but, felt it was too "Hollywoodish "regarding African Americans and Italian people. He grew up at a time when treatment of Black people was MUCH worse but, too young to be aware of it. He never lived with many Italians in the area either.
I did and knew the warm family groups and big dinners and everyone talking at once.

His college dorm (UIC-Chicago) was a great melting pot of cultures and he had good friends among all of them. His friends often come to visit him in the PNW.

Going to the move with your Son sounds like a special day for you!

We saw "Ben is Back" - another tale of addiction - not uplifting, but totally engaging because of the skills of Julia Roberts and Luke Hedges. She is great as always, and he has become quite the actor. He was also great in "Boy Erased". 3.75 from me, and somewhat higher from the Princess. I felt that the step father was weak and somewhat unbelievable. There is a spectacular scene where Julia unloads on the doctor who initially prescribed opiates to her son.
