Current Movies - Thumbs UP or Thumbs DOWN

deedee, thanks for your review. Today we say "Boy Erased". Good movie we both go 3.5 stars. The actor who plays the 'gay' son was excellent. Russell Crowe put on many pounds for his role. Nichole Kidman is good and flat out excellent in one scene. If anyone in this film is Oscar worthy should be the kid. Tough subject - good movie.

Sour I have it on good authority (National Enquirer) that Russel Crowe put on a ton of weight well before THAT movie. He was so great in "A Beautiful Mind," and "Gladiator", I hope he can get his groove back.

thanks ron is that a cowboy type series?
It is a western movie and it has stories from a book--like the old Penney novels from back then.

It is a bit whimsical! and poke fun at things like the singing cowboy and some of the other western stereotypes

Also would love to see a new one coming out with Jason Mamoa (think that's his name) -gorgeous macho man. Long haired, beautiful eyes and great smile. :woot

I don't suppose Nifty would let me do a continuing series on the " Most Attractive Men of BYC." They would be fully dressed I assure everyone - I can sense by eyes & smile, if I should reel them in or cut bait.

We are going to see "Green Book," Thursday and then Thankgiving at a not fast, fast food place. They do have turkey dinners for the holiday. Used to include pecan pie but, they down graded to pumpkin or apple. :sick Used to have great turkey but, now have rotisserie turkey - blah. Never heard of making it that way.

"GREENBOOK" was very, very, very excellent. Starring Mahershala Ali and Viggo Mortensen are absolutely great. My brother said he gives it a low(?) 4 I think he means because I provoked him into it. I give it a great 4, even better than Widows.

Thank goodness in November some great movies come out - glad I saw 2 of them.
