Thanks, I am planning on making some sort of tote for her to be in. I hadn't thought of using a bucket, though, that might be easier.
I have not soaked her, it's been too cold. The undersides of her wings are cleaner than they were, I think it's flaking off on its own a bit. High today is 5 below zero, she's still kicking. I believe her to be improving, but slowly. She has a bit more color in her face (comb/wattles), not nearly as pale. Swelling is down a decent amount. Her crop still feels strange. I don't know what to make of that. Almost like it has
She's continuing to be a little more feisty which I take as a good sign. She's also scratching a little bit in the bedding, something she hasn't done for a very long time.
I'm still putting the medicated eye ointment in both eyes twice a day and a little bit of triple antibiotic ointment on the outside of both ears because there still seems to be a little bit of stuff coming out of her eyes and if I keep it greased, it doesn't seem to build up at all. Her eyes seem better now that I've been doing the "veteye" ointment twice a day. I was just doing some triple antibiotic once a day.
I have Tylosin powder, but not sure if I should use it or not.
I hear you! Been down right cold here.
I would say if she is improving with the current treatment than continue with that. If she has a cough sniffles then you can mix up Tylosin - if it’s Tylosin 100, it’s 1 teaspoon to a gallon of water. But I would continue as you’re going.
Sometimes you just have to play around and see what works.
If her eyes are swollen or goodpy, it would not hurt her to give the Tylosin powder in her water 14 tsp per quart of water for 5 days. There is no egg withdrawal time.
