deedee, only the one little 'odd' theater is showing previews - I think it opens in mid August, but am not sure.

Snowpiercer: Rotten Tomatoes gave it a rave review. Moviegoer ratings were more subdued, but still ok. I was simply disappointed. Maybe I missed something. I get the underlying social commentary, but don't understand all the raves.

petrel Thank you very much. I had that on my list but, discovered it had been released much earlier elsewhere and then pulled back. Also while it is coming out now - it is already available for streaming. Never a good sign. I had wanted to see "Snow Piercer," because of the very good actor in there - even tho his name escapes me now - Captain America.

BYCERS I will NOT be seeing "S*X TAPE, I thought it would be very funny and touching along the lines of "Forgetting Sarah Marshall,"(also starring Jason Segal). Alas talk on the street and in reviews convinces me it is not funny and a poor movie regardless of stars.

I hope this is not the way the summer movies will go. It's a long jump to November when the good ones emerge.

My peops stopped going to the movies with me altogether after Freeway and American Psycho.
Thank goodness for movies on demand...my pets don't 'judge'...humn (?)...to my face anyway;/, and generally don't hog up ALL my movie-time snacks! If it weren't for dark humor I'd probably be in a rubber room,
rompin' around right now!

Drumstick diva: I can't think of his name either, but he is the reason my wife approved the rental! Unfortunately, she walked through the room, glanced at the screen and moved on. In his defense, Capt. America held up his end of things in the movie.

Has anyone seen "The Lunchbox?" It looks like it could be kind of heartwarming and it got excellent reviews.

I've never seen the 'Lunchbox 'at any of the area shows. I did recall Captain America's real name- well I think anyway - his name is Chris Evans. I first saw and fell for him in the Fantastic Four movie- he was Johnny Storm - he could fly and also "flame on," be on fire but, it didn't hurt him.

Where can you find a guy like that? I am ready to give up.
