Wow you get free tickets!! Is that the movie that is a musical? My sister saw it and liked it very much. I don't usually go to see musicals. The last one I saw was' Les Miserable' with Hugh Jackman & Russell Crowe - it was very good but Russell's strong suit is not his voice.

Diva, good to know about Fury, maybe I won't watch it with Karin then.

Although with her it depends how it's filmed. And me too, really. We're both okay with Rambo or The Expendables, but you couldn't get me to watch the Saw franchise with a gun to my head.

Occasionally we get free tickets, either through our movie rewards card or else coupons which can't be used until a movie has been in the theater at least two weeks and has an expiration date. We use these on movies that we aren't sure that we would want to pay to see. Into The Woods fell into that category. You are correct, it is a musical with a lot of unexpected twists and turns; as I said in my post--bizarre in some ways. My wife, who liked it a little better than I did, thinks it was probably worth seeing even if you had to buy a ticket. I'm not sure that I would recommend paying to see it, but it was definitely worth using the free tickets for, or seeing when it comes out on netflix.

Yes, Divergent is one of my favorite movies!

Gone Girl - my brother liked it I DID NOT. It was not at all the usual disappearing wife stuff. One scene is literally buckets of blood. I read later than the actors did 8 takes before nailing it. If reviews had hinted at something like that I would have seen a different movie.

Lots of twists and turns that you don't see coming, ending was totally asinine - but if you stayed that long- you probably enjoy it.

Today was "American Sniper," based on the true story of Chris Kyle who, was considered the no.1 most dangerous sniper. Fortunately he was one of ours. He served four tours of duty. The conflict of choosing between protecting his brothers( service) and his family , combined with PTSS, convinced him he had enough!

My brother and I both gave this movie 4 stars out of a possible 4. If it brings Bradly an Oscar, it will have been well deserved.
