Current Movies - Thumbs UP or Thumbs DOWN

Me too. Guys, just read that Jurassic World brought in $ 82.2 million for Friday Opening. Nice piece of change

My son and daughter and son-in-law went to see Jurassic World yesterday. They said it was entertaining, so my wife and I are planning on seeing it. My wife and I went and saw San Andreas last weekend. While some aspects of it were a somewhat unrealistic, it was pretty gripping. Despite knowing that it would have a good ending, I found myself rooting for the Rock to rescue his family.

I thought I once liked Chuck Norris after I saw him in "Lone Wolf McQuade," or some name like that. Then I saw his tv shows and changed my mind.

Lone Wolf McQuade was one of his best movies. For me Chuck Norris is a mixed bag. His acting has always been rather wooden but his martial arts skills were very good. Some of his movies were pretty good and others were not very good. Sidekicks was technically not one of his best movies, but it was intended to be an action comedy and portions of it were pretty funny. My personal favorite Chuck Norris movie is Way of the Dragon (released in the US as Return of the Dragon), but of course Bruce Lee was the real star of the movie, not Chuck Norris.

JURASSIC WORLD I rate it 5 stars out of a possible 4(yes, I meant it that way) my brother gave it 3.5.

Reminds me scene for scene of the original. Same moronic people putting themselves "out there," to be eaten . Kids getting separated, lost etc. Dinos fighting each other.

BUT, IT'S ALSO THE MOST FUN AT A MOVIE I HAVE HAD THIS YEAR. I saw it in 2 D didn't miss a thing. AMC was crowded, at the end I was surprised by all the applause. I would say people got more than they expected - me too!

I'm sure no one will be surprised that they are working on Jurassic World II. I was very impressed with Chris Pratt who played it straight and still has the killer physique
he had in Guardians of the Galaxy. Looking at him in his grungy work clothes, I could easily picture him out "Indiana Jones-ing" - Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford

Don't know how young kids felt about it but, didn't hear any crying.

And I thought it was way too much like watching the original without much original content. It was entertaining but I have to admit I wasn't scared at all nor did it have my full attention at all times.

I'm glad I saw it but I won't see it again.
