Current Movies - Thumbs UP or Thumbs DOWN

"Trainwreck" - for me this is an appropriate title and I don't mean just as a metaphor. I did not enjoy this movie. The Princess called it 'cute'. Minus all of the gratuitous profanity it might have been.

I think we just have to do a real big collective sigh and accept the fact that gratuitous profanity is not going away. It was difficult rearing a child in this -? what? verbal climate? I finally just set him down and explained our expectations of his language, and that I can not protect him from the utterances of others. Then he went off to public school and informed me that people do not use real words anymore.

My wife and I went to see MI: Rogue Nation last night. We both thought it was a great movie; the best of the MI series. We liked it even better than Ghost Protocol.

Thanks Michael, I didn't get to go to see Mission Impossible 5. today .

The old water heater wet it's pants early this morning and had to pay extra to get a new one installed. Over $ 1400. with labor and tax. It just an ordinary 40 gal. no special features, in fact I was dismayed to find out you have to pay to have it drained out once a year. I had heard beforehand that the newer heaters don't need that anymore. It's a Rheem brand. Rheem used to be excellent but, couldn't find them for years. Somebody bought them out and maybe is dumping the old ones they were stuck with. Our old one(Richmond) had little feet so I didn't sit smack on the floor. This one does sit flush and I'm thinking how easy it would be to rust out the bottom, if any other appliances, decide to pee all over. Had no idea they cost so much.

We got many more years out of old one than were expected. A plumber had told us years ago that the old one only had another year or so in it. But, it lasted several more, even though it took longer to heat water and seemed to run out faster. Just the same it was a good boy. The guy installing the new one broke out the concrete around the drain. Now the grill barely stays up. I'm afraid it will drop into the drain - all that goes to the sump pump & everything wants to make a grab for the purse strings.

You're welcome. I'm sorry that you had water heater issues but I'm glad you got so many years out of the old one. Hopefully the new one will last many more years than expected as well. I'm glad to hear that are doing a MI 6 and hope it's as good as 4 & 5.

Thanks Michael, I am still pouting about the water heater. It should have leaked on Friday instead. I really wanted to see that movie NOW!!. I told my brother how much you enjoyed it. He is also a big fan. Hopefully we'll get to see it next weekend
