I needed to crash my computer anyway so I backed it up an redid it with windows 10.... WORTHLESS!!!. It looks like an upgraded version of windows 3.1 an just about every video file I own it say it could not play... I then reinstalled windows 7 an poof everything works fine again... Even though I told it to not update it most have downloaded them before I got to those settings. Yesterday I reinstalled windows 7 again. This time I did not hook up the wifi card till I had told it that it could not update anything... Today is the first day in almost a week that I woke up to a still working computer.... Now I am a week behind on video editing.... All I got to work on was one 2 minute commercial an its still not done.

This new one did a wifi update without any prompting. You may need to undo the wifi to make the windows seven stick around long enough to burn off your video files.
It did not occur to me until it took five seconds for this one to become a ten.
I was not ready to get a new computer. it was bad timing.

I hope that we can get the photos off of the old hard drive.

too early for computer stuff . I'm still brushing up on my 'send', 'delete' ,skills'.
 
I think we are a few hours ahead of you, you should still be at 'pour, stir, and sip' skills.
My husband drank all the coffee this morning.

I dont do the cloud thing. I just have extra hard drives laying everywhere... I had everything backed up on them. I did loose a day or twos worth of work but not anythings hard to replace. I got it all working again. I got it all working an the updates turned off in the settings before plugging the wifi stick in to the computer. No issues sense...
 
Guys, I think this would be a good time to suggest someone start a Windows 10 thread. The movie thread is for movies, streamed, rented, seen at theatres, tv shows and tv serials. Please could we get back to that?


I think a thread for Windows 10 would be wildly popular. Out in BYC land we have many, IT people that would love to participate if they knew they had a place to do so.

And honestly, I was not impressed. The movie had a simple, somewhat boring plot, not a ton of action, and I don't know...I just didn't like it. The first one was much better.

I wasn't impressed with it either. :/ I wasn't happy how the plot of the Insurgent movie was nothing like the plot of the book.
