Current Movies - Thumbs UP or Thumbs DOWN

I just saw a movie trailer for a new Tim Burton movie coming out this fall, "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children". I understand it is a book series but I believe I will put off reading them until after I see the movie. I find if I see the movie first I can enjoy the movie and then be even more impressed by the book. If I read the book first the movie lets me down every time. I am a fan of Tim Burtons work so I am excited to see this one.

Doc McCluckins thank you . I have such a poor memory that even if I read all the spoilers for a movie, I forget them by the time I see it. Don't have a chance to keep up with the books. My son does and he loves to tell me the book was so much better and the movie was garbage. I manage to forget that too.

I'm babysitting my siblings and watching what has become a favorite family movie in my house. It's called "Parental Guidance", and it is about some old school grandparents who have to babysit their type-A daughter's overprotected kids. But things go from crazy to hysterical when the grandpa realizes the tech savvy kids are running the house with their newfangled technology. By playing by his own rules, which include sugary snacks, old-fashioned games, and tough love, the grandpa manages to achieve the impossible - bring the family closer together!

It's funny, but has pretty predictable plot. It has some funny "adult humor" that goes right over my younger siblings heads, but leaves my parents and myself chuckling. All in all its a good family movie, appropriate for younger audiences, but still funny enough for teens and adults.

Zootopia was great!! So funny and cute (and storyline wasn't predictable!)
Cool! Someone who watched it told me it wasn't any good

Friday March. 18 (yesterday) season two of DAREDEVIL became available on Netflix. I have just finished the first 6 episodes ( only 5 more). Couldn't help myself. I wanted to hold back since it will be a year (?) until season 3. Just wanted to say it is every bit as good or better than the first season.

We made it through four... The boy returns to college tomorrow morning, so-I hope we can get to a good quitting spot tonight. I don't want to be all antsy until the kid returns this summer.
I liked 'Frank' and was kind of on his side the entire time.
