For such a young bloke, he's got an extensive cv. You'd have to spend a lot of time watching all of his roles. Even if someone doesn't like him like we do, they'd have to admit he's a hard worker.

'Billboards' was a good movie, and McDormand was great. I was sleeping so the Princess will have to fill me in on Globes results.

We don't actually get to see the telecast, I just followed it on the ABC's blog which was announcing the results (Australian ABC, not American) and then watched the acceptance speeches on youtube (NBC's put them up). It's a shame none of the presentations were on youtube, I like seeing that. I saw Kirk Douglas in the background of somebody accepting, I'd have liked to have seen him doing the presentation. I'm sure some of the presenters were good.

I was hoping "The Shape of Water," would get something important. The actress was great since she had to be mute and express herself thru her eyes . And at one point sign language with sub title, so we could all laugh and enjoy her remarks.

We don't go to the movies much, but just went to see Star Wars (last jedi) and I give it

Last movie we saw in theater was Star Wars (rogue one) lol. We joke it's our yearly date...which it kind of is. Only other time we were out last year was for my birthday . Ah well, such is life with a toddler.

Best director is pretty important. About time Guillermo del Toro got an award, he said so in his speech when he said not to play the music to get him off

My memory is so poor, I have to go back through posts to find out what movie we saw on Sunday. No joke.

Okay I see, it was "Molly's Game" guess it wasn't that memorable - odd that I wouldn't recall Idris. My mind is racing downhill and I can't stop it. Mind pills next to a water glass , all the time. Just a bit of water in the glass - which means as usual I drink the water and leave the pills. Maybe that is part reason for memory loss and the weird sleep patterns as well.

The Bafta nominations have come out today. I'm thinking Sally Hawkins might have a better shot at a Bafta as she's more well known at home. She was really good in a movie called "Happy Go Lucky". It's about this cheerful girl, played by Sally. A really good movie. I'm really looking forward to seeing "The Shape of Water". Doug Jones deserves awards too, for his body of work. He was terrific in Pan's Labyrinth. I just wish they put the award shows on tv here. They used to, but not any more (except for the academy awards, they show that)
