Thank you Sour, your card will be late (so sorry in advance). I couldn't find a card with just the right element on the front. When I finally did, it wasn't "that" kind of card. It was a "missing you" card. So have to doctor it up.
Sometimes trying to be the most thoughtful person on earth can be exhausting. Lucky for me I won't try that hard.
Saw Jurrasic World with the wife last night. We both enjoyed it thoroughly. What does it say about me that I was rooting for the dinosaurs the whole way?
Today we saw "Leave No Trace" - story of a PTSD Marine and his daughter trying to 'adapt'. An interesting/not great movie - well acted. We both go 2.5 stars on this film.
Coming up is the 100th.Mission Impossible movie I think, with Tom Cruise. Plan to skip it, think he really got injured when he jumped from building to building or something. Bet he won't be doing the stunt work anymore. He should be thinking of a desk job now.
Today we saw, "Mama Mia: here we go again". If you hate ABBA, don't go. Princess loved it to the tune of 4 + stars, I can't see rating that sort of movie more than 3 stars, but it was good entertainment.
I'm sure my sister will go see it Sour, she LOVED the first one. She and I usually don't agree on movies, or anything else. BTW my brother doesn't want to see it either.
Thanks to the Princess for her rating Sour. Mamma Mia, "Here we go again" is definitely on our list to see. My sister and I and my friend will have a girly night at the flicks to catch it. I loved the first one so much I went back to see it a second time. It was not long after I lost my mother and some of the scenes were very poignant about mother daughter bonding and really made me cry my eyes out (and I generally hate weepies) but I still loved it and left the cinema feeling really uplifted. I was concerned that the follow up would be a typical "sequel flop". Rarely does a sequel live up to a good original movie, so getting a 4+ from the Princess is making me much more hopeful that we will not be disappointed.
