Current Movies - Thumbs UP or Thumbs DOWN

Different strokes for different folks, Rebrascora, I'm very glad you found something you enjoy so much.
That is how I feel (rarely) when I see a special movie and then I'm floating on air. Which in "the day" meant an 11 mile round trip walk to the theater. Too old to continue with that so go to shows with brother (driving) nowadays.

Will attempt to see Mission Impossible 4000 or whatever. I need to see something to get my birthday treat before it expires. The AMC clowns never gave it to me on my birthday.

Today we saw "Mission: Impossible - Fallout". I really dislike Tom Cruise and this genre movie so I will not rate it, but I will say it was way too long for me. I enjoyed Vhim Rhimes ? portrayal of 'Luther'. Princess and her sister each go 3 stars, and BIL goes 2 stars on this film.

Thank you Sour. I really disliked the movie and didn't rate it either. Yes, way too long and boring. All the action movies seem to have the same car chases. Drawn out stupid plot- wanted to write something else but spell check kept saying I was wrong. It took "stupid though." First my brother gave it 3.5 he liked it. By the time we got home he changed it to 2.5.

As a premier member of AMC I was to get a free large popcorn and large pop(for my birthday-they forgot about.. Ours was the first movie of the day. Concession girl dug my popcorn out of the leftovers, probably from night before. Just plain stale and icky. I dumped the whole thing and most of the pop. I think professional critics went overboard saying it was the best Mission impossible to date. UGH!! None were as good as the TV series.

Went to customer relations to renew my membership which would have expired 7-31.
Guy there was too busy talking to friends of his(not about movies) told me to go to ticket line. By then it was huge(for next showing). Finally got to attendant and she wasn't sure how to do a renewal.

E mail from Amc earlier in the week said I would get a $ 5 concession bonus for extending membership. She didn't know anything about it. I figured what the heck, I didn't want their icky concessions anyway. By the time I got home, I had email thanking me for joining AMC and told me to do my profile. I've been a member for many years and they had the same member no. for me as before.:rant.

Can't wait for the email I usually get asking to tell them about my movie experience.HA!!

I think when the workers go back to school soon, things will improve. But, we only go on weekends, so the kids may run the joint again.

Didn't see any trailers for movies I might remotely enjoy - thank goodness. I need to chill and get the bad taste out. More time for BYC and/or ordering things on line that I don't need or want out of frustration.
