Actually, the dog does die a normal type death, but undergoes multiple reincarnations constantly returning to it's people. The original was emotional, but in a good way.

In the sequel ? Promos show the dog as a beagle then a mastiff and then as a terrier/shi Tzu type dog. Are we talking about the same movie ? Or am I just confused ?

Also saw "A Dog's Way Home" and although enjoyable liked "A Dog's life" better.

none of my dogs were ever reincarnated back to me. BUT, one of my tiny cocker females who had a strong mind of her own, came back as a Mallard hen. She used to walk back and forth on the outside picture window sill- looking into the living room. Just as she did when alive and looking out the picture window.
