We watched the Glass Onion on Netflix last night and we both loved it!

Oblivion

Not a current movie -- circa 2013 -- but it was a Tom Cruise movie that neither I nor my husband had seen before....and it was surprisingly very good! It's a sci-fi earth-after-apocalypse movie with lots of interesting twists.

Stars Tom Cruise, Morgan Freeman, Olga Kurylenko (currently seen in BBC's "Treason" on Netflix streaming) and Andrea Riseborough. Written and directed by Joseph Kosinski. 2+ hours run time, rated PG-13. Currently on Netflix, GooglePlay and YouTube.

(And, yes, Tom Cruise once again sprints about in this movie. Other than being confined to a wheelchair in "Born on the 4th of July" I think it's a requisite in his contract that he has at least one running scene per movie.)

Today we saw "A Man Called Otto" - 4 stars from me and 3.5 from the Princess. A fine character representation from Tom Hanks in a movie that made me laugh and cry a bit.

Big thumbs up for Avatar The Way of Water. I enjoyed it way more than the first one.

Today we saw "The Whale". The Princess gives it 3.5 stars. I hated it.

I watched the Foreign Version of Otto and liked it!

I am looking forward to watching the new Avatar movie and the Whale looks Iffy to me.

@sourland I never thought I’d see Brendan Fraser and Best Actor nominee in the same sentence. Why did you hate it?

I found it to be depressing and uncomfortable. Brendan Fraser's performance was outstanding. The Princess says the fact that it impacted me in that fashion indicates it was a great film. Made her cry.
