Current Movies - Thumbs UP or Thumbs DOWN

It is being featured free on Prime Video for National Women's Month/Day or some such.
As horrible as it sounds just the title made me not want to see it. I myself am a woman and it sounded to me like feministic, idealist crap. Also extremely boring. I've heard myself talk and God knows how my husband puts up with me :lau

3000 years of Longing

Loved it. Beautiful story and well told about the power of love. DH didn't but he was 100 percent focused on the fact that the genie is a trickster that he was blinded to the story. I swear from our descriptions after on how we felt that we watched an entirely different movie. I won't spoil anything but the takeaway is that love is more powerful than magic.

Hatching

Ok so this is a foreign film so if you don't enjoy reading your movies this may not be for you. DH hates reading movies but still enjoyed it. The story revolves around a young gymnast with an extremely narcissistic mother that documents their whole life. One day a bird flies into their home and her mother snaps it's neck. She instructs her daughter to throw it away. She does so but awakes the next night to find the bird is no longer in the receptacle. She hears a crow crying in the woods. She finds it severely injured and has a very hard time putting it out of it's misery. She finds an egg in it's nest and brings it home to care for it. And then it hatches...

Beautiful imagery, great character development and most importantly.. it's a freaking puppet. Not cgi bullcrap. Wonderful film. If you found black swan too complicated this is it simplified.
