Current Movies - Thumbs UP or Thumbs DOWN

Spiderman across the spider verse: just as hard to watch as the previous animated one. Very quick actions sequences that are hard to follow and very long run time only to end on a cliffhanger. No spoilers other than nothing will be resolved until the next movie. Which I might not see and definitely won't pay to see

It's not a current movie, so it doesn't really fit this thread, but I watched The Good Soldier, which was made in the late 80s. It helped to know a little about the book first and its unreliable narrator. I found it compelling. I can tell I'll be going back to it again.

It's about people who live passionately and honestly and people who coldly disengage and observe. The passionate ones can't be with who they love and they tear themselves and others apart through guilt and hope and guilt, and punishment and hope and punishment - gradually hardening hearts and causing suffering.

It's set in Edwardian times in Germany and England with an American couple and an English couple and the friends they support.

Thanks for the review!

Saw Paint. Movie heavily implied Bob Ross but not. If you can make it thru the first half the movie is salvageable. You really gotta power thru tho but not a bad film just not a great one. The last half of the film really spoke to me with my own struggles as an artist but the first half was rather egocentric
Thanks for the review!
Saw "Dumb Money" today - well done. 3.5 stars from each of us.

It looks like a good movie.

Saw The Witches last night. Just...just...just go rent the original. I don't know why I bother seeing anything with Anne Hathaway in it. She's just awful. My personal opinion on the actress aside it did not even shine a candle to the original I grew up with. However this one might be a tad less scary for the kids.
